Oversize Loads / Weight Restrictions
Seasonal Weight Restrictions
The starting for Spring Load Restrictions has been announced by the Commissioner of Transportation.
Spring weight restrictions for the Central Zone (south of TH 210 and TH 18 in Crow Wing County) start Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 12:01 A.M. Spring weight restrictions for the North-Central Frost Zone (north of TH 210 and TH 18 in Crow Wing County) have not yet been announced, but due to conditions, some roads within the North-Central Frost Zone will be posted on Tuesday, 21, 2017. These roads include: CSAH 36 east of TH 6 to the Aitkin County line, CR 105, CR 106, CR 111, CR 141 and Spruce Grove Road.
Minnesota Statute 169.87 establishes weight restrictions. The weight on any single axle shall not exceed 5 tons on any unpaved street or highway; or 10 tons on a paved street or highway unless posted otherwise between the dates set by the Commissioner of Transportation.
Check the map for weight restrictions per axle for county roads.
Cooperation and compliance with the legal posted limits is needed to minimize unnecessary damage to our roads.
