About the Program
Crow Wing County Health Division's Women, Infant, and Children’s program (WIC) is a nutrition education and free supplemental food program. Clinics are located in the Community Service Building, 1st floor, 204 Laurel Street in Brainerd and at Heartwood Senior Living Community, 500 Heartwood Drive in Crosby.

Qualifications
Many working families qualify for WIC. Income requirements are higher than many other government programs. Find out if you qualify for the program.

Services
WIC provides various services and goods to members, such as:
  • Breastfeeding education and support
  • Connections with parenting and other community resources
  • Health referrals
  • Healthy foods each month tailored to your family's nutrition needs, such whole grains, fruits, and vegetables
  • Latest nutrition and health advice from our highly qualified staff of Public Health Nurses and Nutritionist
  • Nutrition education
  • Supplemental food for infants and children up to age 5
  • Supplemental food for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding and/or postpartum
