Responsibilities & Services
The Crow Wing County Dive Rescue Team was formed in 1987, and is made up of both law enforcement and civilian volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue of water accident victims and to the recovery of drowning victims. Currently there are 15 dedicated volunteers who participate in the Dive Rescue Team. They donate their time, knowledge, ability and equipment to assist the county. The team is trained in open water, swift water, limited/no visibility and ice diving. in 2014, the team logged approximately 500 hours of volunteer time for training and related activities.
The Crow Wing County Dive Rescue Team is funded entirely through
donations. The Dive Rescue Team depends on the generosity of
organizations and businesses for support.
